ABOUT THE POSITION
Portage College has an exciting opportunity for a highly-skilled administrative support to work as a Student Records Clerk at the Lac La Biche campus. Responsibilities include:
· Provide customer service to students, staff and the general public.
· Coordinate mark submission activities, including communication of mark deadlines with program areas.
· Audit academic records to ensure completion requirements have been met; Ensure supporting documentation is complete, appropriate credentials are issued and academic record/student file is closed.
· Review course drop/adds and student exit reports; Related data entry.
· Assist with preparation of weekly application stats and required comparison.
· Document requests according to FOIP guidelines.
· Assist with student intakes.
· Provide cover-off for Student Services front reception and Student Records as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Diploma or certificate in office or business administration. Equivalence may be considered
· Previous experience in administrative support role, preferably at a post-secondary institution.
· Several years’ experience in a role with high-volume data entry with the ability to ensure accuracy and problem solve.
· Must be proficient with computers, especially MS Office.
· Strong skills in organization, data entry and customer service.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
· Knowledge or experience working with Moodle and Unit 4 would be an asset.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and provide sound decision making.
· Successful applicant will be required to provide a current police information check.
