Stepping Stones Crisis Society is seeking a Client Care Advocate to join their team based out of Cold Lake. Stepping Stones is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by domestic violence and crisis situations. They offer a range of services, including emergency shelter, education, and advocacy, all aimed at empowering our clients to overcome their challenges and achieve long-term stability and safety.
The full time Client Care Advocate position is Monday to Friday (with some occasional weekends and evenings) and offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. This position provides direct support to clientsguiding them through various programs, and connecting them with essential resources.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist clients and support them in the navigation of the various programs including in Emergency Shelter, Second Stage Housing, and Outreach

Conduct initial assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and risk factors; develop, implement, and regularly review individualized case management plans in collaboration with clients

Establish and maintain trusting relationships with clients, providing trauma-informed care

Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting case plans as needed to ensure ongoing alignment with goals and available resources

Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling services as required

Advocate for clients with various agencies and ensure they receive necessary services and support

Facilitate client introductions to appropriate community agencies and programs

Transport clients to appointments when necessary

Develop and implement client group activities and programming

Act as an on-call resource for clients and staff, providing coverage and support during emergencies
Qualifications:
- Registered Social Worker (Degree) or post-secondary education (Diploma) in a related field is an asset
- 2-3 years of experience in case management, with knowledge of family violence, addictions, suicide, and other social issues, required
- Experience in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and case management
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license free from restriction
- Ability to work all shifts including on call rotation; night shift is an awake shift
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and computer skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Record Check
- Standard First Aid/CPR, ASIST Certification, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training is considered an asset
