PART-TIME PERSONNEL HEALTH CAREGIVER

Position available to join our team of caregivers, to assist a tetraplegic patient (formerly called quadriplegic) with Multiple Sclerosis in his home in Cold Lake

Hours:

Saturday and Sunday

6:30 am to 8:30 am approximately

12:30 pm to 3:00 pm

6:15 pm – 7:45 pm approximately

Salary: $30.00/hour

Mileage: Rate reviewed quarterly. Must live within Cold Lake City limits to receive mileage allowance.

Start date: Immediate

Language: French or English

Health Care Aide certification or caregiver experience is an asset but is not required.

Vacation must be approved.

Caregivers for a tetraplegic patient.

Operate an Invacare E-Tude HC hospital bed.

Use a Hoyer® Professional 6-point Quick Fit padded sling with a Hoyer® Advance-E 340 Folding Floor Lift to:

· Lift the patient in and out of bed.

· Sit the patient on or lift the patient from a Toilet Commode Chair.

· Sit the patient on or lift the patient from a Maple Leaf Tilt Shower Commode.

· Seat the patient on or lift the patient from a manual wheelchair with tilt.

Wash, dry, and dress the patient.

Shave patient.

Feed the patient and give him medication.

Take care of the patient’s personal hygiene.

Assist the patient with his daily routine.

Operate a Permobil C300 Power Chair.
