Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (2nd/3rd Year)

J. Post Haulage is a family-owned trucking company that values quality equipment and skilled workmanship. They are looking for a motivated 2nd or 3rd year Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain experience working on a variety of trucks, trailers, and off-road equipment, while learning from our skilled mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced mechanics with diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on on-road trucks, trailers, and off-road equipment (loaders, skid steers, grinders, etc.)
- Learn to perform CVIP inspections and ensure work meets safety and company standards
- Keep the shop organized, safe, and efficient
- Follow work orders and complete tasks accurately while developing your mechanical skills
Requirements:
- 2nd or 3rd year Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice
- Class 5 driver’s licence (Class 1 an asset)
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow your mechanical skills
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and safety awareness
