Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maneuver Class 1 tractor-trailer units (livestock trailers and/or crude tankers) across provincial routes.
- Adhere to all provincial transportation regulations, hours of service logs, and company safety policies.
- For Cattle Haulers: Ensure the safe, humane, and efficient transport of livestock.
- For Crude Haulers: Safely load, transport, and unload crude oil fluid, strictly adhering to fluid handling and dangerous goods protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain clear and accurate paperwork, including logbooks, bills of lading, and inspection reports.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Class 1 driving experience.
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Safety Tickets (Required for Crude): First Aid, H2S Alive & CSO.
- Strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and a commitment to workplace safety.
