J. Post Haulage is a family-owned trucking company who take pride in their equipment and work performed. They are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Full-Time Safety Advisor. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as experience in a health and safety role or field role in the oil and gas industry.
This position is based out of the Elk Point area and requires a combination field and office work.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for monitoring adherence to the company safety program

Plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate departmental occupational safety programs.

Complete internal audits and support external audits.

Documentation control for safety orientation, safety training, job site inspections, and reporting including required online reporting (ISNet, Comply Works, WCB)

Maintain awareness of amendments to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations and makes recommendations for their implementation.

Support job site safety compliance inspections including hazard analysis, safe work procedures, written reports, and recommendations.

Ensure the timely completion of accident/injury reporting!

Coordinate inspections, investigations, and occupational safety activities with departments.

Execute time-sensitive parts runs and equipment transfers to maintain high standards of vehicle safety and availability.
Requirements:

NCSO or working on completing the course.

2-5 years of experience in a health and safety role or field role in oil and gas industry an asset

Class 5 Driver's Licence

Valid First Aid, H2S, CSO, Incident Investigation

Strong understanding of health and safety regulations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Able to pass a 10-panel pre-access D&A test
