Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator with a valid Class 1 Licence to join our construction team . This full-time role offers competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work with a variety of mid and large-size equipment on diverse projects. The successful candidate will have a strong safety record, proven experience in equipment operation, and the flexibility to travel for out-of-town assignments as needed.
Key Requirements
· Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience operating mid and large-size excavators, backhoes, skid steers, small dozers, and other off-road construction equipment
· Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
· Clean driving record with current commercial drivers abstract
· Ability to drive manual transmission trucks; off-road driving experience required
· Successful completion of pre-employment Alcohol & Drug (A&D) testing
Primary Responsibilities
· Operate excavators, backhoes, skid steers, small dozers, and various off-road equipment safely and efficiently
· Load and unload construction equipment from trailers and trucks
· Drive manual transmission trucks for equipment transport, including off-road conditions
· Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
· Follow all site safety protocols and company policies
· Participate in occasional out-of-town projects; travel and accommodation provided as needed
Qualifications
· Class 1 Driver’s Licence (must be current and in good standing)
· Minimum 5 years of direct experience with relevant construction equipment
· Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission vehicles in challenging terrain
· Clean commercial driving abstract
· Must pass A&D pre-employment screening
· Strong communication skills and attention to detail
· Team-oriented, dependable, and punctual
