Key Responsibilities
• Safe Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Support Equipment Operators: Assist equipment operators as required
• Manual Labour: Perform physical tasks such as lifting, twisting, bending, raking, and shovelling as required based on project by project basis.
• Adherence to Safety Policies: Work safely and strictly follow the procedures and policies set forth by JIMCOR Line Construction Ltd.
• Team Assistance: assist co-workers by helping with various tasks, including handing them tools, wire, materials and hardware.
• Site Clean-Up: Contribute to cleaning up the job site at the end of each day to maintain a safe and organized workplace.
• Equipment and Truck Maintenance: Assist with fueling equipment and trucks as needed.
• Overhead Pole Framing: Help with framing /deframing power poles, as well as loading and securing loads.
• Conduit and Cable Installation: Support the installation of conduit and cables, including sanding and trenching activities.
• HydroVac and Directional Drilling: Occasionally assist the HydroVac operator and Directional Drill crew
• Light Duty Vehicle Operation: Occasionally drive a light-duty truck with trailer as assigned.
• Respect and Care: Treat co-workers, equipment, and tools with respect every day.
• Outdoor Work: Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, maintaining a positive attitude and ensuring personal safety.

• Experience operating hand and power tools.
• Physical ability to perform manual labour tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction site safety and procedures.
• Valid driver’s licence preferred for occasional vehicle operation.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments across all seasons.
Work Environment
Utility Groundsmen are expected to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat. The role involves physical exertion and the ability to adapt to changing work environments while maintaining safety and efficiency.
