Job Summary:
KUDO Energy Services is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Hot Shot Operator to join their team. This role requires an experienced professional with a clean driving record, safety certifications, and the flexibility to work a varied schedule, including on-call shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe transport of freight using commercial vehicles, including 40’ trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate trucks and trailers to deliver loads as dispatched, often on short notice.
- Maintain accurate and compliant commercial driver logs.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure proper maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years commercial driving experience (no GDL drivers).
- Clean commercial abstract for the past 5 years.
- 3 years insurance claim-free driving history.
- Valid safety certifications including H2S Alive, CSO, and other relevant training.
- Experience with commercial driver logs and compliance tracking.
- Experience with 40’ trailers is a strong asset.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work flexible hours and be available for on-call shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Schedule:
- Varied schedule based on workload and dispatch needs.
- Monday to Friday after-hours work may be required as needed to meet operational demands.
- Flexibility is essential.
