Temporary Turnaround Labourer
Location:
- Bonnyville, AB (with travel across north eastern Alberta, including Fort McMurray)
- This is not a camp-based position. While some projects may include limited camp portions, the role is primarily local to Bonnyville and surrounding areas.
Job Summary
Warco Industrial is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals for the position of Temporary Turnaround Labourer. This role will involve operating high-pressure equipment in an industrial oilfield setting, primarily focusing on the maintenance and cleaning of heat exchangers. The position requires individuals with a strong work ethic, the ability to work in dynamic environments, and a willingness to contribute to the successful completion of turnaround tasks within a set timeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-pressure water blasting of exchanger units and other industrial equipment (10,000-40,000 PSI)
- Clean and maintain floors and other work areas
- Work on various turnaround tasks as directed, including equipment preparation and general maintenance
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to all company and site-specific safety regulations
- Complete any other duties as assigned by site supervisors or managers Required
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience working with high-pressure equipment (10,000-40,000 PSI) an asset
- H2S Alive certification (mandatory)
- CSO (Construction Safety Orientation) certification (mandatory)
- Fall Arrest training (asset)
- Confined Space entry training (asset)
- Pre-access drug and alcohol testing required
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Willingness to work night shifts when required
- Ability to work long hours (8-13 hour shifts) with flexibility in scheduling
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work well within a team and take direction
Schedule
- Workdays may vary between 8 to 13 hours, with overtime eligibility after 8 hours
- Night shifts may be required depending on the project’s needs
- Schedule will vary based on turnaround timelines and site-specific requirements
