Class 1 Picker Operator
Location: Bonnyville, AB (Base Yard)

About the Role
LSC Industrial is seeking an experienced, safety-minded Class 1 Picker Operator to join their team based out of their Bonnyville yard. The ideal candidate will bring extensive crane and rigging expertise, a strong commitment to worksite safety, and the flexibility to operate additional equipment as required by project needs. While work is centered out of the local yard, candidates must be willing to stay in camp for short-duration or occasional off-site projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe operation of stiff-boom / folding-boom picker trucks (minimum 45-Ton rating).
- Safe transportation, loading, and unloading of equipment, materials, and heavy loads across various job sites.
- Operation of secondary equipment, including carry-deck cranes and telehandlers, as required.
- Comprehensive rigging setup, inspection, and load planning to ensure safe lifts.
- Daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance of equipment and transport vehicles.
- Active participation in site safety initiatives, hazard assessments, and daily FLRA preparation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Crane Operator Certification suitable for a minimum 45-Ton picker rating (Journeyperson Boom Truck Operator ticket or equivalent recognized certification).
- Valid CSO, First Aid, and H2S Alive certifications.
- Proven experience operating picker trucks (45T+) in industrial, oilfield, or construction environments.
- Deep knowledge of rigging practices, load dynamics, and crane mechanics.
- Experience operating carry-decks, telehandlers, and related heavy equipment.
- Willingness and availability to travel and stay in camp accommodations on an occasional basis.
- Experience with pile driving support and foundation operations is considered a strong asset.
