About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Hotel Manager / Front Desk Associate to oversee the daily operations of a 32-room, independently owned hotel located in the heart of downtown Bonnyville. This is a hands-on management role that includes guest services, administration, and housekeeping duties. Accommodation is provided on-site as part of the compensation package.
The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, and willing to be available for work 5-7 days a week, ensuring smooth hotel operations and a welcoming experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Services & Front Desk
- Greet and check-in/check-out guests efficiently and professionally.
- Handle phone/email inquiries, reservations, and guest requests.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively to maintain high satisfaction.
- Housekeeping Duties:
- Clean guest rooms, hallways, and storage areas as allocated, following cleanliness standards and checklists.
- Replenish guest supplies and advertising materials according to room type standards.
- Restock housekeeping carts and storage areas daily to maintain inventory levels.
- Report and log all lost and found items.
- Safeguard keys and guest rooms at all times.
- Perform deep cleaning duties as required.
- Hotel Operations & Management
- Oversee day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring cleanliness and order.
- Supervise housekeeping standards and perform light housekeeping duties as required.
- Monitor room availability, occupancy, and rates.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security standards.
- Administration
- Manage cash, credit card transactions, and daily reports.
- Keep records of reservations, occupancy, and expenses.
- Order and maintain inventory of supplies.
- Facilities Oversight
- Coordinate basic maintenance and repairs, liaising with contractors as needed.
- Ensure the property is kept in good condition for guests.
Requirements
- Previous hotel, motel, or hospitality experience preferred (front desk or management).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and work independently.
- Willingness to perform light housekeeping tasks when necessary.
- Must be reliable, professional, and available to work 5 days a week.
