Bonnylodge is currently look for a temporary full-time Receptionist to join a supportive team atmosphere, working to make a difference in seniors' lives. This position is for a 6 month duration with the possibility of extension.
The schedule for this position is 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Thursday shifts: 9:30am-5:30pm and alternating Saturday/Sunday shifts: 8:00am-4:00pm.
Duties and Requirements
- First point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff at Bonnylodge; answer phones, respond to inquiries, and take messages.
- Act as resident advocate by listening to concerns, reporting issues to management, and ensuring respectful, professional service.
- Greet and host all visitors for evening events.
- The weekend shift oversees daily facility operations by monitoring resident safety, staff and emergency responses, and ensuring all supportive services and regulatory documentation are completed accurately.
Qualifications
- Experience working with seniors, tenants, or in a hospitality setting considered an asset.
- Previous Administrative or Reception work experience
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interact professionally residents, and staff.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make logical decisions in emergent and non-emergent situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Ability to provide a Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work every second weekend.
- Must maintain confidentiality of residents, tenants, and organizational information.
- Requires the ability to stand for extended periods, complete repetitive tasks, and lift up to 50 lbs.
