Lakeland Lodge and Housing Foundation is inviting applications for two (2) Seasonal Maintenance (Grounds Keeping) positions.
This position provides support to our Maintenance team and contributes to the upkeep of our housing facilities.
Please Note: This position is supported by the Canada Summer Jobs grant program. To meet the funding eligibility requirements, applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30 at the start of employment. We welcome all applications from within the qualifications of this grant program.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour days
- Duration: Early May to late August 2026 (tentative end date)
Duties include:
- Lawn and yard maintenance (trimming, planting, lawnmowing, weeding, trim shrubs)
- Removing debris and garbage from lawn/ grounds and units
- Supporting maintenance teams. (painting, pressure washing, cleaning)
- Sweeping mechanical rooms, smoke pits, entrance ways of buildings
- Notifying managers of anything that could be a unsafe for residents/tenants
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Class 5 driver's license with reliable transportation
- Experience in general labor duties (considered an asset)
- Ability to work & think independently
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to operate yard machinery such as lawn mower
