The Town of Bonnyville is looking for an athletic minded individual to assist in the maintenanceofvarioussportsfieldswithintheTownofBonnyville.Areyoulookingtogain some summer work experience?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Thecandidatewillberesponsibleforpreparingthevarioussportsfieldsforthe various sports team requirements.
- Thissportsfieldmaintenanceincludesthemarking/chalkingoflines,placementand preparation of nets, plates, raking of sand.
- Ability to work alone or under minimal supervision.
- Thecandidatewillalsoassistinmaintenanceofallgreenspaces,flowerbeds,main street hanging baskets.
- AssistinTownProgramssuchascommunityspringclean-up,CanadaDayTourism, events and grass collection.
- Workingasateammemberwithsummerparkscrewandperformingotherrelated public works and parks duties.
- Lawn equipment operations, tree pruning, tree planting, playground and parks equipmentmaintenance,plantandflowermaintenance,parksbeautificationand other related duties.
- Adheretoallsafetyproceduresandactivelyparticipateintailgatemeetings,andthe reporting process.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- ValidClass5Driver’sLicensewithacceptable abstract.
- Mustpossessaninterestinsportsandunderstandthedifferentfieldrequirementsfor specific sports.
- Physically fit as the job requires excessive walking and ability to lift up to 50 pounds,walkingonunevensurfaces,stooping,kneeling,crouching,climbingstairs and ladders.
TheTownofBonnyvilleemploymentpolicyrequiressuccessfulapplicantsto complete a pre-employment alcohol and Drug Testing.
