The Role
LSC Industrial is seeking a highly organized, self-motivated Health & Safety / HR Administrator to join their team. This is a dual-focus role designed for a professional who holds an NCSO designation, but thrives in an administrative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate occupational safety programs.
- Lead internal audits and provide support for external audits.
- Maintain knowledge of amendments to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
- Manage full documentation control for orientations, training, and site inspections.
- Conduct hazard analysis and safe work procedures; support site inspections with written reports and actionable recommendations.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all accident/injury reporting and investigations.
- Act as a key resource for HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining confidential employee records.
- Synchronize safety activities and inspections across various departments to ensure zero gaps in communication.
- Maintain a highly organized digital filing system and manage all safety-related databases with precision.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) designation is required.
- Proven experience in a safety-focused role with a background in HR Administration.
- Advanced computer skills are a must.
- Ability to work effectively alone, prioritize a complex workload, and meet deadlines without supervision.
- A sharp eye for documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Strong verbal and written skills for reporting to management and advising field staff.
