Lakeland Lodge and Housing Foundation – Cold Lake Lodge

We are currently seeking a compassionate, energetic, and experienced individual to join our team as a Casual Supervisor. This is a vital, hands-on role that involves leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to providing a high level of care and service to our residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

Supervise and support staff with a positive, team-first attitude
Complete reports, security rounds, and resident wellness checks
Respond to emergencies as the on-site first responder
Provide assistance with housekeeping, laundry, dietary, and recreation duties
Handle resident and guest concerns professionally and promptly
Offer limited personal care support to residents as needed
Greet and direct visitors, contractors, and homecare personnel
Maintain a safe, clean facility in compliance with Alberta Seniors and Community Supports Licensing standards
Plan and lead activities, crafts, and events that engage residents
Uphold and enforce Lodge policies and procedures during events and daily operations
Monitor resident behavior and report any concerns to management
Follow infection control and health and safety practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

Current Security Check (including Vulnerable Sector)
Proven supervisory and team leadership experience
Kind, positive, and mature attitude with strong interpersonal skills
Experience in program delivery and resident engagement
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to motivate others and maintain staff morale
Physically fit to handle regular lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
WHMIS Certification (provided if not current)
Previous cleaning experience considered an asset
Passion for working with seniors in a supportive environment

WAGE & SCHEDULE DETAILS:

Start Rate: $21.07
Step 1: $22.65
Step 2: $24.26
Shift Premium: $2.50/hour for shifts with majority hours between 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM
(As per current CUPE Agreement)
