Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority is inviting applications for two (2) Seasonal Fire Equipment Service Helper positions. This position provides support to our Fire Operations and contributes to the equipment and maintenance team.
The Government of Canada had provided funding for this job through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To meet the funding eligibility requirements, applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30, at the start of employment. All youth are welcome to apply however youth facing barriers to employment will be prioritized, such as Indigenous, Racialized and 2SLGBTQI+ youth.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
- Duration: Mid May to late August 2026 (tentative end date)
- Wage: $19.72 hourly

Duties include:
- Help inspect, repair, and maintain small firefighting equipment, including hoses, to ensure reliability during emergencies.
- Assist in servicing and maintaining lawn care equipment, and fire apparatus to keep them in optimal condition.
- Operate lawn maintenance equipment to maintain safe and clean facility grounds.
- Field support with transporting tools, equipment, and resources to project sites.
